Good Manners: The Beauty of a Muslim
Good manners are among the most beautiful qualities a Muslim can have. Islam teaches us that being a good Muslim is not only about worship but also about how we treat the people around us.
Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was the perfect example of good character. He treated people with kindness, spoke gently, respected others, and showed compassion even to those who disagreed with him.
Good Manners in the Quran
Allah says:
وَإِنَّكَ لَعَلَىٰ خُلُقٍ عَظِيمٍ
"And indeed, you are of a great moral character."
(Surah Al-Qalam: 4)
This verse describes the beautiful character of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and reminds us of the importance of following his example.
How to Practise Good Manners
1. Speaking Kindly
Choose your words carefully and speak to others with respect. A kind word can make someone's day better and strengthen relationships.
2. Respecting Others
Treat everyone with dignity, regardless of their age, background, or social position. Listen carefully and respect different opinions.
3. Being Helpful and Considerate
Offer help when someone needs it, show appreciation, and avoid hurting others through your words or actions.
The Beauty of Good Character
Good manners make our relationships stronger and create peaceful communities. They also reflect the values of Islam and show the positive impact of faith on our daily lives.
By following the example of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, we can become better Muslims through our words, actions, and behaviour.
At Thughr Academy, we believe that Islamic education should help learners gain knowledge while developing the beautiful character and manners taught by Islam.
