Self-control
Self-control is the cognitive ability to regulate impulses, emotions, and behaviors to achieve long-term goals. Fasting inherently serves as the ultimate training ground for self-control, where a Muslim voluntarily abstains from food and drink for the sake of Allah, granting them a resilient will to overcome life's temptations.
Quranic Verse:
"But as for he who feared the position of his Lord and prevented the soul from [unlawful] inclination, then indeed, Paradise will be [his] refuge."
(Surah An-Nazi'at: 40-41)
